Stanmore Jafferys Cycling were invited to the WF ExCo Meeting in Birmingham to present the cheque for the L2B funds raised towards the WF AID Ali Asghar Water Appeal.
A delegation consisting of the SJ chairman (Shafique Govani) and the Head of SJ Cycling (Mohamed Ladha) travelled to the Midlands last Saturday (2nd November) to represent Stanmore Jafferys.
The delegation was accompanied by the SJ Social Media Team (Syed Mohamed Jawad, Ash Dharas, and Ali Ravji) to capture the presentation to the President of the World Federation of KSIMC.
The 4 hour round trip (including getting somewhat lost in Pinner finding the best route to the M40), also provided a great opportunity to share experiences about community and SJ work in particular behind the scenes.
The importance of these representation trips was further underlined as the SJ delegation enjoyed a Karak Chai and Chaiwaala Food Menu assortment together with the Secretary (Ali Dharamsi) and Vice Chairman (Hussein Shenu Jaffer) of Masumeen Sports Club. Apart from banter and bonding, best practice was shared between the two sports club in particular connected to Cycling and Social Media.
This clearly illustrates how much value this type of inter community networking generates, providing not only one but three cups of karak chai.
It is worth mentioning that for Mohamed Ladha this was the first ever Chaiwaala experience and here is his verdict: https://www.facebook.com/StanmoreJafferys/videos/415296916087898/
