Hassan Merali wins the first SJ Seniors TT Tournament


Following weeks of practice, SJ Seniors lined up for the first ever SJ Seniors internal tournament played over 2 weeks, 16th and 23rd April.

Hassan Merali and Hassanali ‘Jimmy’ Suleman played in the final with Hassanbhai taking home the title.

Following this tournament, over 40 seniors have registered so far and 350 overall from across our communities for the SJRS Festival of Rackets 2019, taking place on 6 and 7 July which includes seniors category for each racket sport. In addition, congratulations to SJRS table tennis Coordiantor Nazirbhai Merali on winning the Handincap tournament at Kenton Table Tennis club. Nazirbhai and a number of other SJRS players actively compete in external leagues and clubs.
