About SJ Rackets

Stanmore Jafferys Racket Sports (SJRS) is the rackets club of SJ. Formed at the beginning of 2018, this has developed from an embryonic rackets offering to a fully established rackets club offering our membership coach led tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis throughout the year at excellent facilities. Over 150 racket players participate in an SJRS activity on 5 days of every week. Our offering covers Boys from 6 years of age to our Senior Gentlemen well into their 80s. The majority of these sessions are fully subscribed with a waiting list. We also work collaborative with SJRS ladies who now also have a full suite of rackets sports offering. In addition to the regular sessions, SJRS organised Boys squash camps in February half term and tennis and table tennis camps for Boys during the summer holidays. SJRS pioneered the unique concept of SJRS Championships, a Festival of Rackets in 2018, an event encapsulating tournaments in tennis, table tennis, badminton and squash all over one weekend under one roof. This festival brings together entire families and communities together from all over Europe and further afield in the spirit of Rackethood. Following the phenomenal success of the first event, an even bigger SJRS Festival of Rackets is taking place on 6 and 7 of July 2019. SJRS is now affiliated with Badminton England and Squash England and are members of the Wembley and Harrow Table tennis league.
