CRICKET MATCH REPORT:

STANMORE JAFFERYS V/S
JAI BHARAT CRICKET CLUB

Stanmore Jafferys made emphatic return to domestic cricket amidst all concerns of the pandemic COVID 19 as they cruised to victory over JBCC…. with Zaffer Mukhtar recording good bowling figures, claiming 4 vital wickets for only 32 runs.

There was a reasonable gathering of spectators at JBC ground who cheered and motivated SJ players in the course of play.

Both teams produced good cricketer. A good bowling and good batting perfomance from both sides created a good deal of enthusiasm among the spectators to the last moments of mere tense. The atmosphere was full of fun, joy and cheers.

The sense of discipline, team spirit, fellow-feelings and the spirit of sportsmanship made it absolutely significant for SJ’s victory!!!

SJ won the toss on the day and on a good batting track,  Imran Gulamhussein decided that his team should bat first.

The SJ opening pair of Noorali Nasser and Tausif Kanji displayed the most fantastic batting with full confidence, thrashing bowls all over and providing the team with a solid foundation.

In fact, the first five maestro of SJ (as below) were in superb batting form forseeing innings that unleashed a series of strokes, exhilarating drives and squares cuts. Together with the confidence of a young 13 year old Salman Zaffer Mukhtar, scoring 28 runs, heralded the coming up of a great potential cricketer!

In reply to the above score, the opposition JBCC fought back very bravely, with their skipper Vipul mainly doing the damage, fully supported by Darshit.

Captain Shabbir Mulji orchestrated some game changing bowling calls, ensuring a SJ victory.
