On Sunday 12th January 9 members from the SJ Cycling team took part in the Winter Westerly sportive hosted by Westerly Cycling Club.
The SJ Team by in large took part in the 60km medium route encompassing the rolling and sometimes challenging hills of Hertfordshire going towards the Chilterns.
The Winter Westerly is the first sportive we take part in each year; from 2018 to 2020 we have increased our participation from 3 riders to 9 riders this year. We hope to increase our participation in this event each year to encourage our members to cycle through inclement weather and view the brilliant Herts countryside.
We would like to thank Samir Chandoo for taking the lead to organize our team for 2020, and helping to ensure all our riders completed the event safely.
