SJ Teams Challenge 2025
Get moving. Build habits. Have fun.
SJ Running is delighted to bring back its much anticipated Teams Challenge 2025. This will be a 5 week journey to help you move more, stay motivated, and create habits that last well beyond the finish line!
As always, this challenge is open to all gents, designed to cater for every ability – whether you’re a walker finding your rhythm or a runner chasing your next milestone. The goal is simple: let’s get moving, together!
What you won’t be asked to do
- You will not be asked to run a marathon (or anything close).
- You will not be told to run at a certain time.
- You will not be judged on your speed.
- You will be encouraged on for every effort you make!
So how does it work?
You will be placed into one of our teams competing for glory over five weeks. Each run or run-walk you complete earns points for your team, regardless of pace or distance.
Every week brings a new twist to keep things interesting… but we’ll keep the surprises under wraps for now!
The focus is on consistency, teamwork, and encouragement, because sometimes the best motivation is a friendly nudge (or banter) from your teammates.
Key dates
- Sign-up closes: Friday, 31st October 2025
- Rules + tips released: Saturday, 1st November
- Challenge period: 3rd November – 7th December

3. Record your runs on Strava — indoor or outdoor runs/walk-runs (minimum 3km).
4. Weekly results will be announced every Sunday night!
The spirit of the challenge
This isn’t about who runs the fastest or the furthest — it’s about showing up, having fun, and supporting one another. Whether you’re just lacing up again or already in stride, our SJ Teams Challenge is the perfect way to build momentum as the year winds down.
