As a club, we still remember the early days when we would reach out to the other clubs in the community to gives us the opportunity to play competitive football. Three years later alhamd we have over 100 boys playing in a league.
As a club, we should not forget how we started out and that we need to support other clubs starting out on their journey.
This is why when an Iraqi brother reached out to me to help out, and give their boys a chance to play with the SJFA I jumped at the opportunity.
The SJFA under 10s played a friendly at Harefield Academy with Iraqi All Stars boys. The fixture was a joy to watch with some lovely football but more importantly it was a real joy to see the brotherhood between the boys and the impeccable akhlaq as the parents observed.
I want to thank Sabir Datoo for facilitating and managing the fixture on short notice. Sabir has done a great job managing Tier 3 and I would personally like to thank him on behalf of the parents and SJFA team for his efforts to develop this group of boys.
