It is with immense pride that Stanmore Jafferys announce the continuation of our support for WF-AID’s Ali Asghar Water Appeal. Through our numerous sporting activities, we look forward to building on the efforts by our members over the last five years.
Our primary purpose is geared towards making this world a better place through our love of sports. There is no better way to making a difference together than to help raise funds for WF-AIDs life changing projects through your donations and fundraising. We are humbly asking you again to help us help humanity.
Over the last five years, we have raised over £465,000 for WF-AIDs flagship Ali Asghar Water Appeal to bring life-changing sustainable WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) initiatives to hundreds of families who are less fortunate than we are and whose only hope is our generosity.
Our Projects
All donations collected as part of this campaign will be dedicated to supporting two projects where there is a desperate need for water solutions:
1. Kenya Solar Powered Water Piping – this project aims to facilitate a 2-kilometre solar-powered pipeline which will deliver 20,000–25,000 litres of clean water daily from River Galana to Kwamagandi Primary School and the surrounding community. Once completed, this project is expected to benefit 355 individuals.
2. Uganda Water Wells – the project comprises of the Installation of 30 water wells equipped with hand pumps, strategically distributed across the target districts to improve clean water access for underserved communities.Each water well-constructed will provide clean water to 1,200 beneficiaries per day. These wells will provide clean, safe, and accessible water to thousands of people, drastically reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases, eliminating the need for long daily treks to unsafe sources, and restoring dignity, health, and opportunity – especially for women and children.
3. Tanzania Borewells – The 2025 fundraising efforts will continue to support last year’s main flagship project which aims to drill a further four bore wells across four villages in the Tanga region of Tanzania and provide reliable access to clean water for over 20,000 individuals. The water will also be connected to other infrastructure such as schools, mosques, clinics, and public areas. The borewells will provide each community with a reliable, sustainable, and clean water source, drastically improving health outcomes, reducing water collection burdens, and supporting vital services such as education and maternal healthcare. This project will be the flagship fundraiser for the KSIMC Madressa
